Hybrid Program

Our Hybrid program is a more in depth version of our Owner Trained Program. With this program you can bring us your brand new puppy to a temperament test or if you are looking for a puppy, we can send you to one of the breeders we highly recommend.
Once you have a puppy whose temperament is ideal for service work, then we will have you join our Puppy Raisers for their weekly puppy raising class, these classes are for the first 6 months of the puppy’s life and teach all the basic puppy manners from kennel training and potty training, to teething, to making obedience the fun game we start playing. We also will begin teaching some fun behaviors that aren’t just cool tricks, but also great foundation behaviors for a lot of tasks later on!

Once your puppy is 6 months old they begin the full process of training to be a service dog! Now we can begin asking more from them obedience wise and teaching tasks in preparation for public access. You can either board & train your puppy at this age (they come and live at out facility for 3 months and get the full in depth training like our program dogs, you will be required to come work your dog once a week as well), or you can do weekly sessions with one of our professional trainers and have homework to do with your dog.

As with owner training, your dog’s success as a service dog will depend on how well you listen to our trainers, and how often you work with your dog! If you only work them once a week, you won’t see a ton of improvement.

Once your dog is 1 year old we will re-evaluate their progress and decide if they are ready to graduate! If they pass you will be given a certificate of graduation!
Please note: This certificate does not certify your dog as a service dog, this only shows that they graduated from our training program.
